This Saturday on American Top 40 the 70’s it’s a 4-hour show starting at 8am as Casey Kasem features the top tunes from September 1st, 1979. One of the great songs on the show is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Eddie Rabbitt with “Suspicions”.
Best known for his 39 top 40 songs on the Country charts, Eddie Rabbitt was one of several stars in the late 70’s and early 80’s with crossover success on the pop charts including “I Love a Rainy Night”, “Step by Step”, and his duet with Crystal Gayle “Just You and I”.
“Suspicions” was a #1 country hit and the song reached #13 on the Hot 100. Eddie said he wrote the song in 5 minutes over a lunch break!
