It has been a rough couple of weeks for me and our family. My mom suffered a major stroke a week ago and has been moved to hospice care. Since she’s the one who really pushed me to pursue a career in radio 40 years ago, it’s somehow appropriate that today’s Forgotten 45 at :45 has “Angel” in the title, from Eurythmics it’s “There Must Be an Angel (Playing With My Heart)”
Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart had 10 Top 40 hits in the US including their biggest hit “Sweet Dreams” which went to #1. In April of ’85 they released their album “Be Yourself Tonight” which included the hit “Would I Lie to You” and “There Must Be Angel”, a song that peaked at #22.
With love and appreciation for all of the health care workers for their care of my mother, check out the Eurythmics with “There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart)”, it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
