For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to the charts on August 18th, 1979 for Earth, Wind, & Fire and “After the Love Has Gone”.
The song was the second single from their album “I Am”, written by super songwriter David Foster, the ballad made it all the way to #2 on the charts in ’79, blocked from the top spot by “My Sharona” by The Knack. The band has often said it was one of their most difficult songs to record because they had to get the vibe just right!
