The music world continues to mourn the loss of Ozzy Osbourne yesterday at the age of 76.  For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to 1988 for his biggest pop chart hit with Lita Ford with “Close My Eyes Forever”.

John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne was one of the founding members of Black Sabbath and as a solo act has sold over 100 million albums.  A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Ozzy is considered one of the most influential heavy metal artists of all-time.

The MTV reality show “The Osbournes” introduced Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and his kids Jack and Kelly to a new generation, the show was a huge hit and and ran from 2002 to 2005.

It’s somehow fitting that Ozzy took the stage for one final time earlier this month, and he passed away just 17 days after the concert.

Remembering Ozzy Osbourne with the #8 hit with Lita Ford “Close My Eyes Forever” it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
