Welcome to the Friday Forgotten 45 at 3:45!  Once again Iowa is being impacted by wildfires in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, leading to large amounts of smoke entering the lower levels of the atmosphere and drawing that smoke down into the Midwest.  So for today’s choice we’re going for a different kind of burn from the Trammps with “Disco Inferno”.

Originally recorded by the group in 1976, the song was inspired by the movie The Towering Inferno and the song became a #1 disco hit.  But it didn’t make the mainstream chart until the song was included on the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever.  A re-release of the song went to #11 in 1978.

Sending you into the weekend with “burn baby burn” it’s the Trammps with “Disco Inferno” today’s Forgotten 45.
