It’s 2024 and it seems like Lionel Richie is suddenly everywhere again. He played a huge part of the “We Are the World” documentary on Netflix, of course he’s on American Idol, and even will be a presenter at the Grammy Awards this Sunday night. Speaking of Grammy’s, he’s won a few and “Runnin’ With the Night” was the 2nd hit from his Grammy winning album “Can’t Slow Down” in 1983.
The song was the followup hit to “All Night Long” and reached #7 on the chart. The guitar solo on the song was played by Steve Lukather from Toto and even features Richard Marx on background vocals. And the video also features Sheila E.
