Poking a little fun at Mike Waters, today is the 45th anniversary of the Vikings 4th Super Bowl loss as the Oakland Raiders defeated Minnesota 32-14.  So for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back this January 9th, 1977 for the Spinners with “The Rubberband Man.”

The band was recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, formed in Michigan, the group delivered multiple top 40 hits between 1961 and 1980, and the song Rubberband Man was a #2 hit for two weeks, blocked by Rod Stewart’s “Tonight’s the Night”.

So sorry for the painful memories Viking fans, check out the Spinners on the Midnight Special with “The Rubberband Man” today’s Forgotten 45.
