Even over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, 105.7 KOKZ brings you classic American Top 40 countdowns. Saturday morning at 9 Casey features the top songs from November 27th, 1971, then Sunday morning at 8 November 28th, 1987. It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Steve Winwood with “Valerie”.
The song was originally recorded in 1982 for his album “Talking Back to the Night”, but the song didn’t find much chart success. But a 1987 remix of the song included on his Chronicles album fared much better reaching #9 on the top 40.
