This Sunday afternoon at 4, join Joe Cortese and 105.7 KOKZ for Retro Pop Reunion.  It’s Veterans Day weekend, so he’ll pay tribute to artists who served and deliver 4 hours of the biggest hits of the video music era.  Here’s a song you can hear again on the show, from Swing Out Sister it’s “Breakout”.

The British group had signed a two song record deal with Mercury Records, and their first song didn’t chart, so the pressure was on!  So under all of this stress, they recorded “Breakout” and it hit!  The song reached #6 on the charts in 1987, they hit the top 40 one more time with the song “Twilight World” and that was it for the US chart history of Swing Out Sister.

A fun Friday tune, it’s “Breakout” today’s Forgotten 45!
