Saturday night at 9 Nina Blackwood is your host for Absolutely 80’s on 105.7 KOKZ! This weekend is her annual Halloween special with music from INXS, Phil Collins, and today’s choice for the Forgotten 45 at 3:45, Billy Squier with “In the Dark”.
Billy burst on to the music scene in 1981 with his “Don’t Say No” album which delivered his first hit “The Stroke” and “In the Dark” and went on to sell over 3 million copies. His followup in 1982 “Emotions in Motion” was also successful and he hit the charts one more time in early 1984 with “Rock Me Tonite” and that was it for the career hits for Billy.
