The Philly duo formed in 1970 and mixed rock, soul, and rhythm & blues to become one of the most decorated duos in music history with 29 top 40 hits between 1974 and 1991.  “She’s Gone” was their second hit, reaching #7 on the charts that year from their 1973 “Abandoned Luncheonette” album.  The song was re-released and became a hit after the success of “Sara Smile”.
