Today would’ve been Olivia Newton-John’s 75th birthday, sadly as you know, she passed away last summer from breast cancer. For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we remember her music with her first number one song of the 80’s “Magic”.
The singer & actress won multiple Grammy Awards and sold over 100 million records world-wide, which included 5 #1 songs on the pop charts. “I Honestly Love You”, “Have You Never Been Mellow”, “You’re The One That I Want” from Grease, “Physical”, and “Magic” which hit the top of the charts from her “Xanadu” album.
She battled breast cancer on three different occasions and passed away on August 8th, 2022. A reminder, the Especially For You Race Against Breast Cancer will be held this Sunday in Cedar Rapids, something deeply personal to me since my sister is a breast cancer survivor.
