This Sunday morning at 8 on American Top 40 the 80’s on 105.7 KOKZ, Casey Kasem features the top songs on August 22nd, 1981, and you can hear today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 on that show from The Moody Blues it’s “The Voice”.
The song was the 2nd hit from their 1981 album “Long Distance Voyager” which became the band’s 2nd album to hit #1 in the United States. The England band formed in 1964 but hadn’t reached the top 10 since 1972’s #2 hit “Nights in White Satin”. “Gemini Dream” was the debut single from the project and hit #12, and “The Voice” followed as another top 20 hit which was a #1 rock hit the summer of 1981.
