The band met as childhood friends at school growing up in England. In the early 80’s they formed a jazz group that mainly played covers and a mix of different styles of music. In 1985 they were signed to a record deal in the UK with some minor success, but it was in the Fall of 1987 when they released “Hands to Heaven” that the group finally hit in the States.
Touring with Belinda Carlisle, the song reached #2 on the charts, followed by “How Can I Fall” which was also a top 5 hit. In fact “Hands to Heaven” ended up the 9th most popular song of 1988.
