This Sunday morning at 8 on Classic American Top 40, Casey Kasem takes us back to July 28th, 1984! One of the songs you’ll hear on the show is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Jefferson Starship with “No Way Out”.
The song appears on their album “Nuclear Furniture”, the final album before the departure of Paul Kantner and their transformation into Starship. In fact he was so frustrated with the album’s direction, he stole the master tapes and drove around San Francisco for a few days, and would not return them until the band mixed the album in a way more to his liking!
The song was a #1 rock hit and reached #28 on the pop charts, and you can see Paul in the video which is a classic “lets make an MTV video”. Take a look and listen to “No Way Out” today’s Forgotten 45!
