105.7 KOKZ is your home for classic American Top 40 countdowns every weekend! This Saturday morning at 9, Casey Kasem features the top songs from July 24th, 1976, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Starbuck with “Moonlight Feels Right”.
The song was released in December of 1975 and the band delivered the song to 400 different radio stations, one in Birmingham, Alabama said it sounded like a Spring hit, so they’d play it then. They kept their promise and the song became a big hit, reaching #3 on the charts in the summer of ’76.
A few weeks ago I received this e-mail:
“Hi, I’m Bruce Blackman from the band Starbuck. I have attached a new stereo remaster from the original multi-track of my classic feel-good summer hit, “Moonlight Feels Right,” in case you don’t have it. It sounds much better than the original that is in mono.”
Thanks Bruce, I played the updated version on the air! The song takes you back to the 70’s, check out their performance of “Moonlight Feels Right” today’s Forgotten 45!
