The song was a #3 hit and the biggest one of Chaka Khan’s career. The song was blocked from #1 by Wham’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” and Prince with “Purple Rain”. Ironically, the song “I Feel for You” was written by Prince and was included on his second album in 1979.
