This Sunday morning from 8 to noon join 105.7 KOKZ for American Top 40 the 80’s! This Sunday Casey features the top songs from June 21st, 1986, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band with “Like a Rock”.
The song was the title track to their 1986 album that was originally going to be called “American Storm”. “Like a Rock” was a #1 rock hit and peaked at #12 on the pop chart. Of course it’s best known for it’s use in Chevy truck commercials in the 90’s and 2000’s.
