It’s Cruise Week as 105.7 KOKZ presents the 41st Annual 4th Street Cruise in Waterloo this Saturday from noon to 4! Since we’re thinking cars, for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to 1979 for Sniff N The Tears with “Drivers Seat”.
The song was the only hit for the British band and “Drivers Seat” was the first single from their first album “Fickle Heart”. The song reached #15 on the Billboard chart in Fall of 1979, and shortly after, the band broke up and went their separate ways.
The song enjoyed a resurgence of popularity by it’s use in the film “Boogie Nights” and was even used in an episode of The Walking Dead in season 2.
