This Saturday morning at 9, 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 70’s!  This weekend Casey Kasem features the top songs from May 19th, 1978, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Robert Palmer with “Every Kinda People”.

The song was the first top 40 hit for Palmer, reaching #16 on the charts in the U.S.  He found his biggest commercial successes in the 80’s with his work with Power Station and of course his very memorable videos on MTV for “Addicted to Love” with the often imitated dancing models.

Sadly, Robert Palmer’s life was cut short by a fatal heart attack in Paris in September of 2003 at the age of 54.  A singer who incorporated soul, jazz, funk, pop, blues, and reggae, check out Robert Palmer performing “Every Kinda People” on the Midnight Special.  It’s today’s Forgotten 45.
