Friday’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 can be heard again Saturday night from 9 to midnight as Nina Blackwood hosts Absolutely 80’s on 105.7 KOKZ.  Today we go back to 1983 for “Promises Promises” by Naked Eyes.

The British new wave group hit the top 10 with their first song, the remake of “Always Something There to Remind You”.  Founded by Pete Byrne and Rob Fisher, the two had previously been in a band called Neon featuring the future members of Tears for Fears.  “Promises Promises” went to #11 on the chart and the sound is Absolutely 80’s!

Check out a rare live performance by Naked Eyes with today’s Forgotten 45!
