Daryl Hall – Dreamtime

The first track off of one-half of the duo, Hall & Oates’ second solo album, ‘Three Hearts In The Happy Ending Machine’, Daryl Hall had himself a solo hit!
“Dreamtime” from 1986, was a bit of a change in sound compared to the Hall & Oates, blue-eyed soul. It was more pop sounding with many layers to make the song sound like a Phil Spector-like “wall of sound”.
Eurythmics founding member, Dave Stewart, plays guitar and H&O long-time band member, T-Bone Wolk, plays bass and some electric guitar on the track.
It hit the Hot 100 in 1986 and peaked in October of that year at #5!
Hear it again this Sunday morning on AT40 – The 80s!
