An idea for a Forgotten 45 from Sadja in Independence! Something from the movie Xanadu!
This is one of my favorites from Olivia Newton-John. Is sexy, sensual, soft and just a great vocal from her.
It’s featured on the soundtrack of the film, Xanadu and is one of five songs and the whole first side written and produced by her longtime producer, John Fararr. Side 2 is all ELO with Olivia on vocals closing it out on “Xanadu”.
“Magic” was the lead-off single released from the soundtrack and was an instant hit, topping the US Hot 100 for four weeks!
The video below is one of her “live” (lip-synched) performances that I just love. I’ve watched it may times, solidifying my life-long crush on her.
