The Kiki Dee Band – I’ve Got The Music In Me

It was the title track to the band’s 1975 album. ‘I’ve Got The Music In Me’.
Written by keyboard player, Bias Boshell, it’s a song that talks about the writer being tenacious and not letting go of a dream to be in music. Very much how Kiki Dee felt, early in her career.
“I’ve Got The Music In Me” was a pop-rocker that hit radio and the Hot 100, and rising on the chart to peak at #12!
Her good looks, raspy singing voice and her ability to sing like a soul singer, labeled her as “Blue-eyed soul” and she became the first U.K. female to sign to Motown records!
