Ollie & Jerry – Breakin’… There’s No Stopping Us
Drummer Ollie E. Brown and R&B singer, Jerry Knight teamed up to be the duo, Ollie & Jerry.
For the break dancing movie, Breakin’, released in 1984, Ollie & Jerry recorded the first single from the soundtrack, which was also the film’s theme song, “Breakin’… There’s No Stopping Us”,
It made it to the Hot 100, rising up to peak at the #9 spot!
The video has scenes from the movie and various break dancing clips, interspersed. At one point, an unknown Jean-Claude Van Damme is seen dancing in the background. He was an extra for that scene.
