‘Ram’, Paul and Linda McCartney’s 1971 release, came out 50 years ago today!
It’s considered one of Paul’s best solo albums and gave McCartney his first U.S. #1 song, “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey”.
Another hit came from a non-album single. “Another Day” was recorded during these sessions but left off the album release, It came out as Paul’s first single as a solo artist and was credited to Paul, as well as Linda as a co-writer.
It became an international hit and peaked at #5 on the U.S. Hot 100!
