This is the second ever single released by Bon Jovi as well as the second single to come from their debut album from 1984!
“Runaway” was the “run-away” first single and hit, then “She Don’t Know Me”, written by someone outside the band, Mark Avsec, became a mild hit thanks to MTV. The video aired in regular rotation after the success of “Runaway”, with MTV hoping for the same success.
“She Don’t Know Me” peaked at #48 on the Hot 100 and was dropped from the band’s live setlists after the popularity of 1986’s ‘Slippery When Wet’ album.
