Wings – Goodnight Tonight
While this song was recorded as an instrumental to be used later, he finished it with the rest of the band, Wings – Linda McCartney, Lawrence Juber, Denny Laine and Steve Holley. It was also left off of the ‘Back To the Egg’ album as Paul didn’t think it fit the theme and sound of it. Instead, it was released as a non-album single that did very well on both sides of the Atlantic!
The original cut is over 7 minutes long and my preferred version, but an edited version was released as well to radio at just over 4 minutes. It peaked at #5 on both the U.S. Hot 100 and the U.K. Singles Chart!
