105.7 KOKZ welcomes Jefferson Starship’s “Runaway Again Tour” to McGrath Amphitheater in Cedar Rapids this Friday night, September 25th. Appearing with them will be Pure Prairie League, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Firefall. So for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to the Spring of ’81 for Jefferson Starship with “Find Your Way Back”.
Formed in 1974 from members of Jefferson Airplane, in the next ten years they released 8 gold or platinum albums with classics like “Miracles”, “Count On Me”, and “Jane”. In ’81 they released “Find Your Way Back” from their “Modern Times” album and the song went to #29 on the Hot 100 becoming the 6th of their 9 Top 40 hits before rebranding as Starship.
