Formed in England in 1970 ELO’s Jeff Lynne wanted to create modern rock and pop songs with electric instruments and classical influences. Between 1974 and 1986 they hit the American charts 20 different times with hits like “Don’t Bring Me Down” and “Telephone Line”. “Rock N Roll Is King” was the first single from their 1983 album “Secret Messages” and the song went top ten is several countries around the world, in the U.S. it peaked at #19.
