As we head into the Mother’s Day weekend, today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is a fun tune from 1979. It’s from ABBA with “Does Your Mother Know”.
The band out of Sweden is one of the world’s most popular and best selling groups of all-time with legendary tunes like “Dancing Queen”, “Take a Chance on Me”, and “Waterloo”. Their popularity even inspired the musical “Mamma Mia” and the movie as well.
“Does Your Mother Know” was the first single from their album “Voulez-Vous” and was one of their few songs to feature Bjorn on lead vocals. The song went #1 in Belgium, top ten in many other countries and in the U.S. the song went to #19 on the Hot 100.
