Today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 features singer/comedian Ray Stevens who is recovering from a fall where he suffered a broken neck! From 1975 it’s his hit song “Misty”.
Ray Stevens is now 87 years old suffered the fall in Nashville and is recovering from his injuries. He was everywhere on television back in the day with his comedy songs “Gitarzan” and of course “The Streak”! His biggest hit was the 1970 “Everything Is Beautiful” which was a #1 song on multiple charts. I chose his 1975 tune “Misty” because today is also National Banjo Day! It’s featured prominently on the song that went to #3 on the Country charts, and #14 on the Hot 100.
