This Sunday afternoon at 4, Joe Cortese is your host for Retro Pop Reunion. This weekend Joe features music from the show “Stranger Things” so today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 qualifies and was also on the charts December 5th, 1987. From The Bangles it’s “Hazy Shade of Winter”.
Originally written by Paul Simon and recorded by Simon & Garfunkel in 1966, the Bangles version of the song was recorded for the soundtrack to the movie “Less Than Zero”. Simon & Garfunkel took their version of the song to #13 on the charts, The Bangles did even better, reaching #2!
