This Sunday morning at 8 on American Top 40 the 80’s, Casey Kasem features the top songs from July 5th, 1986! It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Prince with “Mountains”.
The song was the second hit single from his album “Parade” which was also the soundtrack to his “Under the Cherry Moon” movie. After the critical disappointment of his previous album “Around the World in a Day”, Prince delivered another platinum album in “Parade”. The first single “Kiss” went to #1, and “Mountains”, written by Prince along with Wendy & Lisa went to #23 in the Summer of ’86.
