For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to the charts on May 14th, 1983 for Styx with “Don’t Let It End”.
The song appears on the Styx album “Kilroy Was Here”, written and sung by Dennis DeYoung, the song was originally intended to be the first release from the album, but A&M Records thought “Mr. Roboto” should be released first. It turns out both songs became top ten hits, “Roboto” went to #3 and “Don’t Let It End” was a #6 hit in the summer of ’83.
A return to the softer side of Styx, check out the video to “Don’t Let It End” it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
