Remembering Poco co-founder and front-man, Rusty Young, who passed yesterday at the age of 75.
Poco – Crazy love

Rusty Young was working on walls in his house one day and the chorus popped into his head. He always had a guitar near, in case of inspiration like this, so he picked it up and worked out the rest of the chords. He said it took about 30 minutes to write, as the whole song was just “there”.
Released as a single in 1979, from the Poco album, ‘Legend’, “Crazy Love” went straight to the Hot 100. Debuting at #72 and climbed to the Top 40 in four weeks, eventually peaking at #17.
“Crazy Love” spent 7 weeks at the top of the Adult Contemporary chart, which made it the #1 song on that chart for 1979!
