Happy Easter!  We’re heading into the weekend with a fun Friday Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from The Power Station it’s “Some Like It Hot”.

The supergroup featuring Tony Thompson from Chic, John and Andy Taylor from Duran Duran, and Robert Palmer was named after the Power Station recording studio in New York where their first album was recorded.

During a break in Duran Duran’s schedule, the group released their album in March of ’85 and the project delivered three top 40 hits, including “Some Like it Hot” which went to #6 on the charts.  The band performed that song and “Get It On” on Saturday Night Live that year and it was the only time Robert Palmer performed live with the original line-up.

On the charts this week in 1985 it’s the Power Station with “Some Like It Hot” today’s Forgotten 45!
