For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we wish John Oates a very happy 77th birthday as we go back to 1983 for Hall & Oates with “One On One”.
The song was the second single from their double platinum album “H2O” and was the follow-up to their number one hit “Maneater”. Released in January of ’83 the song became the duo’s 16th top 40 hit reaching #7 on the charts.
Of course more recently Daryl & John have been in the news over their feud over music rights. In fact Daryl Hall says there is no chance that the dynamic duo will ever perform together again.
Nonetheless, Happy Birthday to John Oates, enjoy their music in happier times with “One on One” it’s today’s Forgotten 45!
