The Waters Wake-Up Call put the focus on “dream” songs this morning and Mike played a bunch of them! But I thought of one he didn’t play and it’s today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Kenny Nolan with “I Like Dreamin”.
I had to look this up to confirm, but Kenny Nolan is actually a two-hit wonder! The singer from Los Angeles had his biggest hit with his debut song as “I Like Dreamin” went to #3 on the charts in 1977. His second song “Love’s Grown Deep” was a top 20 hit and he recorded two more albums in the early 80’s without any further success.
I found an old American Bandstand performance of the song “I Like Dreamin” by Kenny Nolan, it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
