By Jeff Winfield Mar 11, 2025 | 3:43 PM

Welcome to the TuNesDay edition of the Forgotten 45 at 3:45!  For today’s choice we go back to the charts this date in 1983 for ABC and “Poison Arrow”.

The band out of Sheffield, England was formed in 1980 with lead singer Martin Fry, Mark White on guitar and keyboards, Stephen Singleton on sax, and David Palmer on drums.  ABC was one of the pioneers of the 80’s new wave sound mixed with hints of orchestral and jazz.  The band delivered 5 Top 40 hits in the 80’s.

“Poison Arrow” was their very first hit in the States from the debut album “The Lexicon of Love’, the song went to #25 on the charts and like so many artists at the time, received video airplay by MTV.

Check out the video to “Poison Arrow” by ABC it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
