This Sunday morning on American Top 40 the 80’s, Casey Kasem takes us back to January 24th, 1981! One of the songs you’ll hear on this weekends show is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Air Supply with “Every Woman in the World”.
The Aussie duo of Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell met in the mid-70’s when they were both in the choir for a traveling performance of Jesus Christ Superstar. The pair had their first hit in Australia in 1976 and finally broke through in the U.S. in 1980 with “Lost in Love” which began a run of 7 straight top 5 hits.
“Every Woman in the World” was their third hit from “Lost in Love” and peaked at #5. Still out on the road touring, they are playing shows in Tulsa and Oklahoma City the next two nights. Check out this live video from Hawaii of Air Supply performing “Every Woman in the World”, it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
