For the Monday Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to the charts this week in 1979! It just feels like an Alan Parsons type day, so from ’79 it’s “Damned If I Do”!
In September of that year the Alan Parsons Project released their 4th album called “Eve”, which was the name of Eric Woolfson’s mother-in-law. The album had originally been planned to celebrate great women in history, but the group expanded into a wider concept.
“Damned If I Do” was the only single from the album to make the charts in the States, peaking at #27 but the project was certified Gold with sales of over 500,000 copies.
Check out a life performance of “Damned If I Do” from the Alan Parsons Project, it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
