TuNesDay Forgotten 45: Election Day

By Jeff Winfield Nov 5, 2024 | 3:43 PM

In case you haven’t been told several billion times, we’re in the final hours of Election Day 2024!  So for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, why not play the song “Election Day” by Arcadia.

Arcadia was a side project for Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor of Duran Duran.  In 1985 they recorded their only album “So Red the Rose” during a Duran Duran break with the help of notable stars like David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Herbie Hancock, and Sting.

The album was certified platinum and “Election Day” was their first and biggest hit, reaching #6 in the States, #7 in England, and #1 in Italy.

The polls in Iowa are open until 8pm tonight, so while you wait for results, check out the video of “Election Day” by Arcadia, it’s today’s Forgotten 45!
