Happy Halloween! For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we trick or treat with a 1982 classic from Bow Wow Wow with “I Want Candy”.
The song was originally a hit for the Strangeloves in 1965, but the song most remembered by the MTV generation was the Bow Wow Wow version in 1982. The song was a top ten hit in their home country of England, but only made it to #62 in the U.S. But the success of the video on MTV the song became of the most popular one hit wonders of the decade.
