Monday’s Forgotten 45: Poco

By Jeff Winfield Oct 14, 2024 | 3:43 PM

For the Monday edition of the Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to this week in 1989 for Poco with “Call It Love”.

The band was formed in 1968 after the breakup of Buffalo Springfield and Poco’s music is considered one of the founders of the Southern California country/rock sound.    The bands biggest success came in late 70’s with their 1978 album “Legend”, which featured their biggest hit “Crazy Love”.  And the artwork for the album was done by Phil Hartman!  His brother was the manager of the band.

In the late 80’s the original members of the group came together to record their “Legacy” album.  The album was certified gold and “Call It Love” went to #18 on the charts.  Check out the video of “Call It Love” by Poco, it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
