This Sunday morning at 8 on American Top 40 the 80’s, Casey Kasem features the top songs from October 13th, 1984! It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from The Fixx with “Are We Ourselves”.
The band from London formed in 1979 broke through in the U.S. with their 1983 album “Reach the Beach” which featured their biggest hit “One Thing Leads to Another”. In ’84 they released their third album “Phantoms” which included “Are We Ourselves” a song that went to #15 on the chart in the Fall of that year.
The band is doing some shows in Florida later this month and in November before returning to England for shows in December to wrap-up the year.
