105.7 KOKZ is your home for classic American Top 40 shows every weekend! This Saturday morning we have a 4 hour show from 8 to noon as Casey Kasem takes us back to October 7th, 1978. It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Billy Joel with “She’s Always a Woman”.
The song was the 6th of Billy’s 32 Top 40 hits. The song appears on his “The Stranger” album which was considered a breakthrough album for Joel after the disappointing performance of his 1976 album “Turnstiles”. “The Stranger” delivered hits like “Just The Way You Are”, “Movin’ Out”, and “Only the Good Die Young”, and “She’s Always a Woman” reached #17 in the Fall of 1978.
Dedicated to my wife Dawn on our 31st wedding anniversary, it’s Billy Joel with “She’s Always a Woman” today’s Forgotten 45.
