OK, first I will admit today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 isn’t forgotten, but it is a song that I haven’t played for awhile and it just so happens to have been the #1 on this date in 1988! From Steve Winwood it’s “Roll With It”.
A member of Traffic & the Spencer Davis Group, Steve Winwood found solo success in the 80’s with top 10 hits like “While You See a Chance”, “Higher Love”, and “The Finer Things”. In 1988 he released his “Roll With It” album and the title track spent 4 weeks at the top of the Billboard charts. In fact it was the #1 song for the final 80’s countdown by the legendary Casey Kasem!
