This Saturday morning at 9 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 70’s.  This weekend Casey counts down the top songs from July 27th, 1974, it’s where we found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from The Hollies with “The Air That I Breathe”.

The Hollies had 5 top 10 hits in the U.S. (“He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” and “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress”).  “The Air That I Breathe” reached #6 on the charts in 1974, written by Albert Hammond the song was originally included on his LP “It Never Rains in California”.  Another version was done by Phil Everly in ’73, but it’s the Hollies that made it a big hit.

The sound engineering of the song was done by Alan Parsons.  One of the many great songs from 1974 you’ll hear Saturday morning.  Today’s Forgotten 45 from the Hollies on 105.7 KOKZ!
