Every weekend 105.7 KOKZ is your home for classic American Top 40 shows from the 70’s and 80’s.  This Saturday morning at 9 join Casey Kasem for the top songs from June 4th, 1977 it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from the Marshall Tucker Band with “Heard It in a Love Song”.

One of the bands who helped establish the “Southern Rock” sounds, the band out of South Carolina charted in 1975 with “Fire on the Mountain” but it was “Heard It in a Love Song” that became their biggest hit reaching #14 on the pop charts and even made the county and soft rock charts in 1977.

You can see the band in concert at the ABATE Freedom Rally in Algona on July 4th, keep listening for details on how you can win free tickets to the show starting this weekend!

I found a live performance of the Marshall Tucker Band performing “Heard It in a Love Song” from 1981, it’s our Forgotten 45.
